ORGANized Opportunities

New worship opportunity - There will be a brief spoken worship service each week, beginning this Wednesday at 6:30PM.

In late July the Worship and Music Ministry Team requested contributions to purchase new hymnals. The congregation\'s response has been most gratifying; we have received funds for 31 new hymnals. Many thanks to all who answered our call. The hymnals were ordered and arrived this past week.

September 7th is EKU college student day! There will be a pot-lunch after Sunday school and we will be offering rides to the students from campus to church. Save the date and plan to bring a dish for our lunch after Sunday School.

On Sept. 7th, we will be changing to setting 8 in the Red Hymnal. We will begin learning portions of that setting today. If you are interested in playing percussion during that service, please see MaryAnn Ghosal. Also on this day, the baptismal font will be moved to the front of the sanctuary. The paschal candle will be moved near the altar on the organ side. The table with communion elements will be placed beside the entry door. This is to provide a more open appearance and easier access for folks in wheelchairs.

Worship & Music will meet on Sept. 6th at 11-12:30.

On Sept. 7th - St. Thomas will be represented at the Berea College Christian Center\'s convocation. We will have a table set up outside for before and after. If you\'d be willing to help at this event, please see Pr. Andy. We will head to Berea from here at 1PM.

Citifest is Sept . 4th! - St. Thomas will represent to EKU students and others at this event. Persons interested in greeting at our table, please contact Pr. Andy. This event is from 5:30-8PM. We will leave St. Thomas with supplies at 4:30PM

We are in need of many dozens of homemade cookies for the above two campus ministry events. Can YOU help? Please see Pr. Andy or call the church office if so. Youth Pool Party - TODAY, 4:00 at Don Weismann\'s house, 2440 Lancaster Rd. Snacks Provided. See Pr. Andy to attend.

Thank you to the young people, parents and teachers who helped to make banana bread at our God\'s Life Today opening day. There are now six loaves of banana bread in the freezer to be used as hospitality gifts when we visit newcomers. You worked hard and well in God\'s service!
